Appointment for an initial consultation at short notice

I will gladly suggest an appointment for a chargeable introductory session for psychotherapy, couples therapy or coaching in my private practice, so that we can agree on the further details.

Fees

As a rule I offer the customary initial consultation, which serves to get to know each other, to clarify the assignment and to take a first case history.

You should only arrange this first introductory session if you either have confirmation of cost coverage from a private or supplementary health insurer, or are prepared to pay for therapy yourself (couples therapy is not covered by the statutory health insurers in any case). To do so, simply choose an appointment in the online calendar, or fill in and send the contact form on this website. Initial consultations booked online can and should be paid for directly when booking, within one hour, as they are otherwise cancelled automatically.

Fee schedule

• Initial consultation: getting to know each other and clarifying the assignment, 50 min, €140
• Psychotherapy, trauma therapy, follow-up appointment, 50 min €140
• Coaching, follow-up appointment, 50 min €140
• EMDR treatment for adults, from the 5th session, 90 min, €280
• Couples therapy, initial consultation / follow-up appointments, 50 min, €180
• Couples therapy, follow-up appointment, 90 min recommended, €280
• Couples therapy intensive day, 10:00–16:00 (incl. break), €900 (bookable after the initial consultation)
• Family therapy, initial consultation, up to four people, 90 min, €280
• Video consultation, psychological counselling, coaching, 50 min, €140
• Video consultation, couples coaching, 50 min, €180

An appointment is to be regarded as binding for both sides, because I always set aside a period of fifty/ninety minutes for you, which I can only put to other use if you give timely notice of cancellation.

If you do not attend this first appointment, without cancelling, or if you cancel less than 48 hours before the first appointment, a cancellation fee is payable in full.

For follow-up appointments with existing patients or clients, the terms and booking rules agreed in the treatment contract apply.

For the self-employed, the cost of professional coaching is, incidentally, tax-deductible.

Please note that, under the German Social Code (SGB), the costs of psychotherapy provided under the Heilpraktikergesetz (German Alternative Practitioners Act) are not reimbursed by the statutory health insurers (GKV).

The cost reimbursement procedure available on proof that you were unable to find a place with a psychotherapist licensed by the statutory health insurers within a reasonable time was abolished for Heilpraktiker für Psychotherapie (state-licensed psychotherapy practitioners) as of 2018.

Private health insurers (PKV) often reimburse the cost of treatment of their policyholders by a Heilpraktiker:in (alternative practitioner). If you would like to take up psychotherapy, please check with your private insurer beforehand whether the services of a Heilpraktiker für Psychotherapie are covered as well.
